I have been following Jason Tesar for a couple of years now, and continue to be thrilled and impressed with his story telling. Manifestation is even better than Incarnation. I feel as though I have walked with Enoch and Sariel through each of their journeys. The descriptions of the land and people were excellently done. The story line was smooth and very well thought out. I am very excited for the next book of this series.
Love this series. Its nice to read it now after reading the Awakened. Puts it all into a better perspective. I really enjoyed this and volume 3
This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I couldn't put it down. There were some pretty graphic parts in the book that weren't my favorite, but I suppose they were integral to the story line. Like the first book, I wouldn't base my theology on it, but for a fictional read about life pre-flood it was a good book. It makes one think about what could have happened at the dawn of man. Now that I've read this series, I started reading Jason Tesar's Awakened series. Just finished the first book tonight and am on to the second.
Initially, as in the first book, there is a lot of ground to cover. The exceptional way Enoch models his faith, and Sariel learns to reignite his own is fascinating, and very very human. The trials and losses are also well done, and something you can feel as you read. However the crown jewel is learning how all has been according to a higher goal and plan. Excellent evolution.
After I downloaded Manifestation, I decided to reread the first book which I read over 2 yrs ago. There were so many awesome details I had forgotten. It was a smooth transition from 1st to 2nd book. I was so lost in this incredible story that the 379 pages (estimated) went by way too fast. Impeccable writing, like always, thanks Jason! Whoever you chose to do the book cover did a magnificent job!
Anything less than a perfectly written and executed continuation of the story would have been disappointing and this book did NOT dissappoint. Every time a read a book by Jason Tesar, whether it be The Wanding Stars series or The Awakened series, I find myself waking up very tired in the morning. I like to look for good places to put a book down, but the books keeps your attention so well throughout the entire read, that it is nearly impossible to put down.
ATTENTION Those who do not like to read well written and perfectly executed books will not like this book. By reading this book, you will immediately become unnimpressed by any book written by an author not named Jason Tesar.
For those who do not understand, everyone should read this book, and every other book Jason has written. I cannot say it enough how enthralled I become in these books.
I am so impressed with Tesar's writing! He brings these obscure references from Biblical history to life in such an imaginative way! I've often wondered about the nephilim, or the giants spoken about in the Bible. There is not enough explanation in the written record for us to understand them or their origins, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the speculative artwork that Tesar has masterfully produced in his Wandering Stars series! If you are looking for Epic, this is it... And if they ever take this to the big screen, I want to be invited to the premier!!
I was completely captivated by this book. I thoroughly enjoyed Jason Tesar's other books and this one doesn't disappoint. I found myself immersed in a world that rivals Tolkien's Middle Earth. It's an emotional roller coaster through the world of Tima as Sariel continues his journey in the temporal realm filled with life altering decisions. He is faced with some of his hardest challenges yet both emotionally and physically, only to turn up the best plot twist yet. You'll witness Sariel at his strongest and also as his weakest as he discovers the limitations of a mortal body.
I'm finding it difficult to give an insightful review without revealing any spoilers but Sariel is not the only amazing character in this story. At times I was cheering for the "bad guys" as they dealt with their own struggles and later hoping they will meet a quick and gruesome end for what they have become. It wasn't always easy to tell which outcome of a battle would be the most beneficial to the side of good. While everyone is deceiving everyone else you'll be caught completely off guard by the ultimate deception.
Last but certainly not least is Enochs continued evolution and progression. Enoch's story takes you deep into the past of his own people with many insightful observations. It's not often that a book makes you want to break down in tears and/or jump for joy but Enoch's story (and even Sariel's) does exactly that achieving both at times. Enoch's travels take you to some of the far corners of the world of Tima all while painting vivid pictures of spectacular imagery. Both of it's diverse people and fantastic architecture / landscapes.
There is so much more to say and I'd love to discuss this masterpiece with others. So in conclusion READ IT!! I certainly will be reading it again and again. Now comes the hardest part of all... waiting for the next book from Jason Tesar.
